Carolyn Swora

A case study of a personal brand for an “evolving” leadership practise.

Rooted in a deep understanding of human systems and a passion for transformative leadership, Carolyn Swora’s work is centered around helping individuals and organizations evolve through connection, awareness, and intentional design.

When approaching the design of the logo, our goal was to distill the brand’s essence into a simple yet expressive visual identity. Starting with exploratory sketches and playing with different forms, we aimed to strike a balance between the brand’s core values and the key theme of “empowerment”. In doing so, the motif becomes more than just an icon — the overall design part of a visual conversation. Fresh yet familiar. Understated yet memorable. Subtle yet meaningful.

With the fully developed visual identity completed, we extended the logo to the practical  touchpoints of the brand (i.e letterhead, brochures, newsletter, powerPoint, business cards, etc.) — ensuring each piece didn’t merely rubber stamp the logo, but rather enhanced the communication with the audience.

Taking a more comprehensive approach to develop the visual identity and production framework for “Evolve”, a podcast by Carolyn Swora, we saw that “Evolve” wasn’t just a podcast — it was an extension of Carolyn’s brand and a unique space from which to launch her voice, insights, and message. As a result, considerable effort was taken to validate a network of publishing platforms (Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google Podcasts, iHeartRadio, Amazon Music, in conjunction with YouTube).

How individuals and companies “show up” figures very prominently in Carolyns practice. Noting that tone from her audience, we considered how the brand needed to work in different contexts (i.e. social media assets for Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook, display banners, branded merchandise, and apparel) — digitally, professionally, or even casually for an event such as her second book launch “Evolve”.

To further elevate Carolyn’s brand, we designed and produced a series of custom video elements that could bring her message to life across a variety platforms. These videos gave us the opportunity to extend the brand beyond static visuals, creating motion-driven storytelling that deepened engagement and reflected the dynamic nature of Carolyn’s work.
